ACE is looking for volunteers to tutor students in the Alamance Burlington School System, all grade levels (K-12).  We are also in need of Lunch Buddies!  If you are interested in sharing your time to help students achieve success, contact Janice Stone, Tutoring and Mentoring Coordinator, at (336) 438-2054 for more information on training and volunteering for ACE.

Education Summit

The Alamance Citizens for Education hosted it's 2nd annual education summit, "Great Expectations." The purpose of the summit was to rally support of public education, by hearing the latest from ABSS, examining the need for global readiness for our students, and to hear from another community who successfully engaged its community for public education.

Shadow A Principal For A Day (SAPFAD)

ACE mobilized 34 of Alamance County's business leaders from across the county to experience first-hand the accomplishments of and challenges facing our county's public schools. the goal of the event is for participants to translate their one-day experience into an understanding of the role of school administrators: which in turn, will help nurture a coninued relationship between the business and the school(s).
